Students will have the opportunity to take classes from guest artist in Hip-hop, Modern, Jazz Fusion, Latin Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap and MORE. We can't wait to dance with you! Fernando Naranjo, Co-Founder/Faculty/Director Of Assistant Program
Teacher, Choreographer, and Adjudicator, Fernando Naranjo, has extensive experience teaching classes and workshops at numerous schools and studios/competitions/conventions around the US. His broad, rich and varied dance training affords him expertise as an instructor in Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theater, and Latin Dance. Choreography credits include setting pieces on a variety of studios and schools to “Hip Hip Chin Chin”, “The Tornado”, “Surfin”, “Black & Gold” and “Love In The Dark” as well as choreographing/creative directing a tribute to Celia Cruz. Co-Founder of The Power Of Three Training Intensive, A well rounded dancer, his performing credits include company membership in The Showbiz Dancers, performing on the stage of The Kennedy Center as well as a wide variety of other venues. He has worked with and trained under such dance luminaries as Shawn Cosby, Derrick Evans, Bonnie Slawson, and Julio Agustin.
Chris Wendorff, Co-Founder/Faculty
Chris Wendorff began his dance training at the age of 9. Chris continued his dance training while attending the prestigious Point Park University and received a BFA in Dance. While at Point Park, he continued learning and training in styles such as Bob Fosse, commercial jazz, ballet, modern and contemporary techniques. Chris has taught many master classes and conventions throughout the United States and in the United Kingdom. He is currently a sought after dancer, guest teacher, choreographer, and adjudicator. He currently works for numerous dance competitions/conventions. He has choreographed a contemporary jazz piece for Zeno Dance Company's pre- professional program. Chris plans on continuing to expand his knowledge and experiences of the dance world by pursing a MFA in Dance in the year 2023. He is very excited to continue to be a part of the dance universe and cannot wait to see where this journey will take him next.
Alexander James, Guest Artist
Alexander James Edwards started his dance training at the age of four at Stacia’s School of Dance in DeSoto, Texas with Stacia Woodlan. He attributes his core training to Jana Block Mitchell, Malana Murphy, and Michelle Sherrill, his teachers at the formerly-known Dancin’ Feet Performing Company of Lewisville, Texas where he was able to hone his skills in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, modern, and musical theater. Since then, he has worked alongside notable dancers, teachers, and choreographers such as Alexander Pelham, Robert Battle, Debbie Allen, Latrina Bolger, Tyrell Washington, Kevin Harris, CK Edwards, Christopher Huggins, William Wingfield, William B. McClellan, Jr., and Jason Samuels-Smith. He has also performed with artists such as MC Hammer, Lalah Hathaway, Shirley Murdock and Destiny’s Child, appeared in The Nutcracker with The Moscow Ballet and also on Barney and Friends, So You Think You Can Dance, Todrick, Ridiculousness, Wife Swap and Dance Moms. Edwards is an alumnus of the world-renowned Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas and is also a graduate of Point Park University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance. He was a member of the world-renowned Dayton Contemporary Dance Company of Dayton, Ohio, where he toured and performed many great repertory works nationally and internationally. His choreography has been showcased on TV, the competitive stage, universities across the country and even Cedar Point amusement park. In addition to his dance experience, Edwards is also a judge for leap! National dance competiton and a freelance guest dancer/teacher/choreographer/singer/songwriter/actor, attributing each experience he has encountered to God, his family, and everyone else who has supported him throughout his journey.
